Today in Pro Wrestling History September 23
On September 23rd, 1994, at the MGM Grand Arena, Herb Abrams’ Universal Wrestling Federation presented Blackjack Brawl, which aired on SportsChannel America.

The event began with a delay, joining in progress due to a baseball game ending later than expected. Critically panned, Blackjack Brawl was voted the Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Worst Show of 1994.

After months of inactivity following this event, the UWF would officially fold in 1996, after Herb Abrams passed away from a heart attack.
