The Dream’s reign was short-lived, however, as he would drop the title back to Race just five days later in Orlando.
Despite the elation of winning the title, Rhodesโ reign as NWA World Heavyweight Champion was brief. Just five days later, on August 26, 1979, in Orlando, Florida, Harley Race would reclaim the title from Rhodes.
