Today in Pro Wrestling History: On May 27th, 1996, Scott Hall unexpectedly walks into the arena during that night’s episode of WCW Monday Nitro, interrupting a midcard match between The Mauler and Steve Doll. Hall, recently known as Razor Ramon, had just left the WWF. He quickly grabbed a microphone and challenged WCW to a war.
Today in Pro Wrestling History: (May 27): The Genesis of the New World Order

He would be joined a short time by former WWF World Champion Diesel, who would also begin working under his real name of Kevin Nash. At Bash the the Beach 1996, they would introduce Hulk Hogan as the third man in their group of invaders, and introduce the moniker ‘The New World Order’.
