Today in Pro Wrestling History: On May 10th, 1985, The World Wrestling Federation tapes the first ever episode of Saturday Night’s Main Event. The show airs one night later on NBC in place of Saturday Night Live, and features Cyndi Lauper’s new music video, “The Goonies ‘R’ Good Enough”. The show is opened with the pop song “Obsession” by Animotion (see video below)
