On September 24th 2006, TNA had signed former WWE Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle.

First, the Impact show was moving to Thursday nights at 9pm starting in November. Second, and more notably, TNA had signed former WWE Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle.

Angle would make his official TNA debut on October 19, 2006.
