A former AWA World Women champion performing as ‘Sensational’ Sherri Martel, she would become the first woman to have held both company’s titles. She would reign as the WWE Women’s Champion for more than a year (441 days) before losing it to Rockin’ Robin.
Sherri passed away on June 15, 2007, at the age of 49.
