Asuka debuted at the NXT taping just two days later. Just seven months after her debut match, Asuka defeated Bayley for the NXT Women’s Championship. She held the title until this week. She vacated the championship and handed over the belt after a 510-day reign, due to an injury she suffered at NXT TAKEOVER: BROOKLYN III.
