The American Dream’s arrival in New York was highly anticipated, leading to a sold-out Garden and thousands more watching via closed circuit television at the Felt Forum. Following this initial victory by Rhodes, Graham would win a Texas Death Rules rematch on October 24th.
Rhodes, primarily based in the Florida territory, continued to make sporadic appearances for Vince McMahon, Sr. and the then-World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF) until 1981.
