The Secret Story Behind Wrestling's Iconic Themes

Pro Wrestling Stories

A wrestler's identity is notably shaped by their wrestling theme music.

Certain wrestlers cycle through various themes to mirror the evolution of their character, while others strike gold early on by discovering a song that defines their legacy.

Matt Hardy on his wrestling theme song, "Live For The Moment" "I love that song. It would be very hard to have a better entrance song than that."

EC3 on his entrance song, "Trouble" "...the song played, and that was the very first time I heard it. I was like, ‘Whatever that is, I hope that’s my theme song."

Rob Van Dam o his "One of a Kind"  entrance music "And the rest is history. I like the song, and I know a lot of the fans like ‘One of a Kind’ also."

Edge: "I always hated that entrance music because it never fit me and what I actually listen to!"

I also caught him on a New York-based indy promoted by Paul Sarachelli. He was rightfully in the main event versus a legit pro boxer in Larry Barnes.
