Rick Martel and the Legendary Terry Funk Rib

JJ Dillon is a former wrestler who debuted in 1968 and wrestled in over 3,000 matches. Still, most fans will remember him as the manager of one of the most successful stables in wrestling history: The Four Horsemen.

A story not often shared is one involving JJ Dillon, Terry Funk, Roger Kirby, and Rick Martel.  Dillon opens up about this amusing tale:

A Legendary Rib Pulled on Rick Martel

“We were working the Florida territory. Roger Kirby and I were tag partners, we’re riding together, and Terry Funk had Rick Martel with him.  There are no cars on that two-lane road, and it’s the middle of the day."

“All of a sudden, I look in the mirror, and I see someone coming up behind us, and they’re flying. And as the car goes [shoom!] past us.
