Paul Wight (FKA Big Show)

5 Stories on What Life is Like as a Giant

Life hasn’t always been easy for AEW’s Paul Wight (FKA Big Show in WWE). As these stories show, there’s a lot more to the giant than meets the eye!

From a young age, Big Show was a medical phenomenon, suffering from acromegaly, a hormonal syndrome that led to Andre The Giant‘s passing in 1993.  The difference is that Big Show stopped his acromegaly’s progress with a successful surgery on his pituitary gland in the early 1990s.

Paul Wight shares, "My personal favorite moment  in WWE was the night Vince McMahon informed me that I would be impersonating The Godfather!  The problem was me kissing another woman on a night my wife was sitting backstage. So I asked Vince to do it for me."

Paul Wight continues, "Being the confident leader that he is, Vince McMahon looked me straight in the eyes and without hesitation said, ‘No problem!'"

"One night,  I was driving with Billy Gunn in Pittsburgh, and we’re running late. We only had time to grab drive-through food because we had to get to the building quickly. Then, all of a sudden, a passenger in another car flipped us the bird!"

Big Show Shares His Most Peculiar Bathroom Moments

"After almost a full day of traveling, I’m excited when I finally get to the door just to be somewhere with a bed and a toilet to use. I swing the door open and do not like what I see."
